Biography
Eclectic probably best describes Jeanne
Supin. Fifth generation born in Brooklyn,
Jeanne grew up on Long Island, attended high
school in Las Vegas, college and grad school
in Santa Barbara, and spent the last 20
years living in the Carolinas and consulting
all over the country. Aside from a
bewildering blend of accents, all these
locales have given Jeanne a unique view of
the US and an interesting insider/outsider
perspective no matter where she is. She can
hail a cab on the upper west side, do brunch
along the pacific coast highway, lose $20 in
craps in a blink, find a cool pair of shoes
in even the smallest town, and once hauled
several clean deer carcasses off her lawn
after her husky drug ‘em home. By necessity,
she gets along with almost everyone and eats
almost anything.
Professionally, Jeanne has worked with
public and non-profit organizations forever,
with an unfailing passion for true public
service and for those who use and depend on
those services. She understands bureaucracy,
which is a feat unto itself. And she
believes those who dedicate their lives to
doing good should be treated well and should
accomplish their missions with respect,
efficiency, and successful outcomes.
Jeanne’s writing has become an equally
strong passion, although she remains sort of
embarrassed by readers’ compliments.
